An expression of individualism mixed with conservatism is one of the most prevalent traits of Milwaukeeans. Whether it’s a preppy detail, boho bag or glam rock accessory, there is always an element of Midwestern conservatism in the looks. I’ve just recently attended a Milwaukee Mad Men gala at the Milwaukee Art Museum (MAM After Dark) hoping to find something strikingly inspirational, including Mad Men-inspired red hair and elements of 60s. Here are my favorite shots:
Oversized tote with geometric print dress inspired by 60s. Playful,
yet sophisticated, loose side french braid updo.
Effortless chic look.
Mesh polka dot top and Ann Taylor pearl necklace.
I like the combination of classic elegant accessory with transparent fabric.
Geek chic: bow tie and modern glasses!
I also like the girl’s black pointed toe shoes with a nude strap.
A structural dress with crossbody box purse.
A textured dress accessorized with a wide red belt which gives an edgy touch to the look.
